s what WE OFFER
Why does this work?
These services allow existing staff to concrete their energy on patients that may require extra patient care. Aswell as fully staffs a single scanner meaning that there could minimal “turn a around time” between patients allowing more patients to be scanned.
Managers could get extra time to be able to keep up with an administrative task that need to be completed.
Clinical supervisors would be able to offer quality time to offer tutorials for their trainees.
Patient lists won’t need to be cancelled when staff call in sick or other staff need want to change work locations at the last minutes to cover sites.
- Better work life balance for existing staff
- Reduce waitlists
- Improve flow through hospitals
what WE OFFER
How do we work?
Proceed Diagnostics is a fully remote team comprising expert MRI MITs, offering tele-acquisition solutions for diagnostic imaging centres and hospitals. Proceed Diagnostics has implemented a solution enabling a single experienced technologist to operate multiple scanners simultaneously from a central command centre. The technology is new to Aotearoa but working well in America, United Kingdom and Europe.
This makes resourcing for provincial centres sustainable, and brings economies of scale by scanning multiple sites by one person centrally. This works well for sites with lower demand throughput as one technologist can aggregate work over many sites.
Each site will use existing reception staff (of an existing shared premises resource), and will have a patient healthcare assistant trained and supported by our experts. This role prepares the patient for scanning, places the patient in the scanner and removes them after the scan. They are in two way contact at all times with the remote MRI technologist.
Although our current technology is MRI centred, we are looking to expand this way of working to other modalities as the right technology becomes available.
