ABOUT US
WHERE PROCEED BEGAN
Proceed Diagnostics was formed from shared discussions in July 2024 after founders Peter Dooley and Richard Hamilton explored how scanning could be made more accessible for regional communities, and how workforce shortages could enable more scanning to be undertaken. Peter having worked as a charge MRT understood the shift that is happening overseas; whilst Richard a former senior Health NZ innovation and improvement leader understood the disruption this way of working could have for improving patient access. The opportunity to empower provincial communities to be the investors in scanning equipment, supported remotely by professional staff, using existing local facility providers, thereby reducing the capital and economic risk of lower volume sites.

Products & Services
REMOTE OPERATIONS OF MRI SCANNERS
Our primary service is the remote operation of MRI scanners. To support this, we provide training for onsite assistants or Point of Care workers, along with a structured change management process to build confidence across sites.
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
For locations requiring new equipment installation, we offer facility management services, followed by ongoing operational management to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Our Mission
Procced Diagnostics aims to enhance health outcomes across Aotearoa by optimizing existing staffing resources, making healthcare services more accessible to patients nationwide.
Our Vision
Proceed aims to establish a centralized staffing command centres that leverages software to operate medical imaging equipment, train staff, and provide expertise. In regions without the necessary equipment, Proceed will seek partnerships to facilitate installation and expand access to these services.

WHO ARE PROCEED CUSTOMERS
TARGET 1
Regional areas that don’t have access to MRI scanners. Our service would eliminate many hours of travel and in an emergency would have a profound impact on early diagnosis and treatment. Removing this cohort of patients from a major centre would also ease pressure on their system.
TARGET 2
Regional areas have traditionally lacked installed equipment due to challenges in recruiting and retaining trained staff. If staff are employed, Proceed can provide remote support and training to enhance their capabilities and ensure effective operation.

Radiology, particularly MRI, is a rapidly growing industry in both public and private healthcare in New Zealand. As demand increases, many sites struggle to secure the necessary staff to operate these services. Proceed can help by remotely operating MRI scanners daily or extending operating hours to maximize scanner utilization and improve patient access.
